Our client, Diversey, is a global leader in hygiene, cleaning, and infection prevention solutions, committed to creating a healthier and more sustainable world. They are looking for a highly accomplished individual to join their dynamic team as a Technical Sales Executive.


Job Purpose

This is a direct selling and customer-facing role to maintain & grow existing customers and acquire new ones to drive revenue and market share growth. The role will manage assigned customers, cross & range sales, and acquire new ones. This involves making customer calls to the accounts on a regular basis while engaging a superior stakeholder matrix to understand better each customer's needs and solutions. This position will provide technical support to customers which will include the capability in maintaining dosing and dosing control equipment by installing dispensers, maintaining, and troubleshooting to take corrective action. The role will offer application support & training across all chemical application areas. Picture of success will be through coordinated service calls and requisite reports to each account and application area to deliver high cleaning and hygiene standards to retain, grow, and acquire new customers. It will involve building a healthy working relationship with the distributor to build capacity through training and forecast. He will rely on strong market intelligence skills to understand both market needs and competitor activities.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Effectively provide account management and ongoing service, support, and sales development to respective accounts in a defined geography and sector. Implement white spot prospecting to include existing products, new products and innovations, enhanced sustainability and operational efficiencies (water, energy, chemical usage), and where appropriate food safety solutions.
  • Monitor and report for both respective accounts and assigned regional Accounts by utilizing corresponding tools, such as Sales Funnels, quarterly reporting, market share analysis, and other reports requested by central stakeholders and supervisors. To grow the business at existing customer through new SKUs and innovations as well as with new potential customers

To work closely with local distributor/s to ensure a sufficient stock to service all customers
  • Grow sales across all sectors by identifying, analyzing, and addressing opportunities for new customer acquisition as well as within existing customers through product and application recommendations. Report sales and stock levels at the end of every month,
  • Develop an in-depth understanding of the local market and the competitive position and activities and report on competition activities and customer needs that are not met. To establish customers' critical needs in terms of product application.
  • The incumbent will install, conduct planned routine maintenance, and repair dosing and dosing control equipment servicing as per equipment requirements. The role will also offer technical training on dosing control equipment to customer staff members to ensure they are able to operate them efficiently and effectively. They will ensure that Diversey chemicals are dispensed so as to achieve superior results as per MSDS & PIS through double working with customer’s staff members.
  • The incumbent will keep records of all dosing and dosing control equipment under this sector within the assigned accounts. These records will include service reports. Keep records of all Planned Maintenance Schedules and respond to customer breakdowns within the agreed time.
  • Respond to and resolve customer dosing and performance emergencies as per SLA within their areas of jurisdiction.
  • Route To Market - The incumbent will work closely with the distributor (s) to build capacity to ensure superior delivery of Diversey products and services to customers – this will be through staff training, products and D&D (FOL) Forecasting, and building capability to deliver products and services On Time In Full.


Minimum Requirements:

Education, Knowledge, And Experience

  • A Diploma in a business, sales & marketing or a related technical discipline.
  • At least 2 years of hands-on technical sales experience in processing or manufacturing industry.
  • He /she must be self-driven with a “can do” attitude and passion to achieve results under minimum supervision.
  • Must have a customer-centric approach with a focus on understanding and meeting the needs of clients.
  • Must possess great interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients, projects, and tasks simultaneously.
  • Ability to speak fluently and write both English and French is a key requirement.
  • Must be computer literate, i.e., MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, etc.
